WHO WE ARE
OUR HISTORY, OUR TOMATOES
Pomì was founded in 1982 in the province of Parma and immediately became an icon thanks to its innovative packaging— the carton brick, which makes the tomato sauce easily recognizable in any country where it is exported.
Today, Pomi is synonymous with Italian quality, controlled supply chain, tomato traceability and sustainability of production and transformation processes.
In fact, Pomi tomatoes are grown from selected seeds cultivated by Casalasco - Società Agricola S.p.A on over 7,600 hectares between Cremona, Parma, Mantua and Piacenza, in Northern Italy. Fields are located at an average distance of 50 km from processing establishments to guarantee the freshest quality.
Our tomatoes are 100% Italian, cultivated to respect the environment and the health of our consumers, while bringing a burst of flavor to each dish.
TRACEABILITY
POMI IS SYNONYMOUS WITH ‘SUSTAINABILITY OF PRODUCTION AND TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES’
Pomi cares about its social responsibility. Therefore, we work to reduce the environmental impact of farming by diligently managing the irrigation, saving up to 20% of water every year in comparison to the normal practice, and adopts integrated defense regulations to respect biodiversity. Pomì measures the greenhouse gas emissions created during the product life cycle and shares the data with its consumers on every package. Thanks to Pomìtrace, a modern and unique traceability system, Pomì ensures that each consumer can trace the product from the store shelf to the field where the tomatoes were grown.
